The sale heifers are a cross section of the 86 heifer calves we retained. Some will be out of our newer genetics and many will be from our good old tried and true mother cows. Irregardless they will make outstanding cows to add to your herd or start your own registered herd. The heifers were weaned and put out on meadows until around January 1. At that point they got free choice oat hay and mineral. Around February 1, I sorted off the sale heifers and they have been getting free choice Grass/alfalfa hay and 1.5 lbs of cracked corn and a 21% protein pellet. I’m not going to apologize for what they look like. They have been grown out healthy and will hit green grass and breed up immediately. We had 78 heifers last year and we had 1 open. So I know that they will respond very well for their new owners. It’s very hard to sell a few of these heifers but I would like to give you all a shot at them.
